New Opportunities to Support Care Collective's Mission!
As exciting as change can be, it often comes with unique challenges. We’ve made a few adjustments to accommodate our new partners, and we could use your help with some of them. Let’s take a look at what’s different, what’s new, and where folks like you fit into the puzzle!
First up, we’re growing our volunteer opportunities! We received feedback that evening events were preferable, so we’re offering an event from 5 pm to 7 pm nearly every Tuesday this month.
We also wanted to make space for high school and early college students to volunteer in an event that’s more intended for them, so we’re launching teen-only hours! Almost every Wednesday from 3 pm to 5 pm, teens can come and volunteer, with the only adults being Care Collective staff.
We’re currently accepting applications for a Program Manager! Responsibilities include managing inventory, building partner relationships, and handling delivery logistics. It’s a great opportunity for someone who is organized, social, and looking for a flexible schedule.
If you, or someone you know, are interested, you can email j@carecollectiveswmi.org with a resume and cover letter. The deadline for applications is March 17th.
And finally, in February, we received our third bulk order! We reorganized our space just to store more products, and it’s likely never been this full. We’re on the hunt for a bigger warehouse as we’ve nearly outgrown this one, so email us if you’ve got any ideas for where Care Collective might call home next.
We’re excited and, understandably, nervous about all the changes headed our way, but we know it’s for the good of Care Collective, Kalamazoo, and the young people and caregivers who live here. Thank you for your support so far; we hope to see you around!
